Matchbox Kitchen cake classes are now available! Both beginner and seasoned bakers welcome.
Learn how to properly bake, prepare, and assemble your own 6″ layer cake! Students will learn how to make a butter cake and swiss meringue buttercream, then prepare and assemble their own four layer cake, from torting layers to crumb coating and everything in between. Simple decorating techniques will be taught to give your cake a professional finish.
All students will receive a booklet of Matchbox Kitchen recipes, including a list of resources for supplies and ingredients, flavor pairing ideas, and helpful tips and tricks to make your cake delicious and professional.
Interested in dairy free, refined sugar free, and gluten free desserts? Our wholesome desserts class will teach you how to make three cakes with whole grains, alternative sweeteners, and a more nutritious profile.
Each cake will be carefully demonstrated with helpful hints and tips along they way to substitute common ingredients such as butter, milk and refined cane sugar. Students will sample each dessert and go home with an accompanying recipe booklet.
